The Heart of Yoga Nidra Wins a Silver Medal in the 2026 Living Now Book Awards
A beautiful surprise arrived.
It’s been nearly six months since The Heart of Yoga Nidra was released into the world, and I’ve received the wonderful news that it has been awarded a Silver Medal in the 2026 Living Now Book Awards.
I wasn’t expecting it, and perhaps that’s part of what makes it feel so sweet.
When you write a book, eventually you have to let it go.
You offer what you have learned, what you have practiced, what your teachers have entrusted to you—and then you allow the work to find its own way into the world.
An Award-Winning Guide to Yoga Nidra Practice and Teaching
The Heart of Yoga Nidra grew from many years of practicing, teaching, and training others in this profound practice of conscious rest.
I wanted to create more than a collection of techniques or scripts. The book explores the philosophy, structure, purpose, and many possibilities of Yoga Nidra while offering practical guidance for bringing the practice to life.
Throughout its pages, we explore the yogic wisdom and modern neuroscience behind Yoga Nidra, along with sequencing, language, imagery, themes, pacing, trauma-informed and inclusive principles, and the many thoughtful choices that shape a meaningful Yoga Nidra experience.
Whether you are discovering Yoga Nidra for yourself, deepening an established practice, or learning to guide others, my hope has always been that the book helps you understand not only what we do in Yoga Nidra, but why—and supports you in developing a relationship with the practice that feels authentic, embodied, and your own.
